The all-new Chevy Blazer EV has three trim levels: LT, RS, and SS. The LT is only made with eAWD, while the RS also gets eAWD standard but can be ordered with rear-wheel drive (RWD) for those who want the advantage of longer range. SS (later release) will be upgraded with standard Performance AWD. It’s built on the versatile Ultium platform, which works with a 102-kWh battery that’s capable of 11.5 kW AC charging and DC fast charging of up to 190 kW (AWD).
On a 240-volt charger, the Blazer EV is able to add roughly 25 miles of range per hour of charging and go from depleted to fully recharged in approximately 10 hours. Drivers can recharge at home or use the myChevrolet Mobile App to find the nearest charging station with over 174,000 available throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The EPA has estimated range of up to 279 miles for the LT and RS with AWD, not to mention 288 horsepower and 333 lb.-ft. of torque. With RWD opted for on the RS, driving range will increase to an EPA-estimated 324 miles. The SS is the only trim to get WOW (Wide Open Watts) mode, a special AWD propulsion system that GM estimates will allow the motor to reach up to 557 horsepower and 648 lb.-ft. of torque. This trim is also slated to provide a range of 290 miles on a full charge.
The LT is relatively upscale with Evotex upholstery, five USB ports, remote start, proximity keyless entry, and automatic climate control (one zone). It’s also set up for trailering and has a 60/40-split fold-flat rear seatback with a folding center armrest and cupholders, LED headlights, 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels, and deep-tinted rear glass. A dual-pane sunroof is optional. Chevy gives the RS trim a distinct look with an illuminated front light bar and Chevy bowtie emblem (with animation), 21-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with self-sealing tires, and gloss-black accents from front to back: front and rear fascia, grille, wheel and door moldings, roof rails, and wheel caps. In addition, it has heated and ventilated front seats, Evotex upholstery with perforated suede panels, a power driver’s seat with position memory, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, Rainsense automatic wipers, heated power-folding side mirrors with position memory and driver’s side auto-dimming, a power liftgate, a universal home remote, and multi-color ambient interior lighting. This trim is eligible for the Convenience & Driver Confidence Package, which adds heated rear outboard seats and a grouping of safety technologies (see the next section for details).
The SS will show off a strong personality as well with performance-inspired elements inside and out. Look for the same illuminated and animated light bar/bowtie combo in front, but with a two-tone roof and 22-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with carbon flash-painted pockets. Inside, you’ll have your choice of two, trim-exclusive color options: Adrenaline Red or black/medium ash gray with Argon Orange accents.
Chevrolet packs all three trim levels of the Blazer EV with a wide range of safety technologies to help safeguard drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. The base LT’s version of the Chevy Safety Assist package has following distance indicator, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and IntelliBeam auto high beams. All trims also get blind-zone steering assist, rear park assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and rear seat reminder.
The Convenience & Driver Confidence Package for the mid-level RS will add even more safety technologies: adaptive cruise control, side bicyclist alert, rear pedestrian alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking (reverse and intersection), HD surround vision, a rear camera mirror with washer, a head-up display, a heated wiper park. All three trims can be equipped with the available Super Cruise driver-assist feature for hands-free highway cruising on compatible roads.
As mentioned, all trims have a 17.7-inch color infotainment touchscreen, which manages a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth connectivity, SiriusXM, and Google built-in, providing enhanced access to features like Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play, and more. Chevrolet Connected Services is available on the RS and SS.
