Trims, Powertrain, and Performance

Those considering the latest Blazer have a choice of four trim packages: 2LT, 3LT, Premier, and RS. The 2LT, 3LT, and Premier each come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine releasing 228 horses and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, while the sportier RS gets a spunkier 3.6-liter V6 making 308 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. Both options pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission: front-wheel drive is standard, but each trim can be upgraded with all-wheel drive for added traction on rugged terrain.

Fuel economy for the 2025 Blazer is good, as the FWD version equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo returns an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. That changes to 22 city/27 highway with AWD. For the FWD RS, fuel economy is rated at 19 city/26 highway and 18 city/26 highway with AWD.

Standard and Available Features

Chevrolet has done a great job equipping the Blazer with plenty of sought-after features at an affordable price. Even the base 2LT has remote start, proximity keyless entry, heated front seats with power adjustability for the driver, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Some of its other features are cloth upholstery, push-button ignition, active noise cancellation, four USB ports (two type-A and two type-C), a 4.2-inch driver information display, automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and taillights, heated side mirrors, rear privacy glass, and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

The 3LT is upgraded with perforated leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal home remote, a power liftgate, auto-dimming side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, and roof rails. The Premier is a significant step up in terms of luxury, adding a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, an 8-inch driver information display, a 120-volt power outlet, ambient interior lighting, a hands-free liftgate, and 20-inch wheels. The sportier RS gains the more vigorous V6, along with unique exterior accents that emphasize its athletic character.

Many of those upscale features are available for the lower trims via optional packages. The Premier and RS are eligible for ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and position memory for the driver’s seat, side mirrors, and steering column. A two-tone roof is offered as well.

Active Driving Aids

Safety is a top priority in the Blazer: every trim has Chevy Safety Assist installed. This bundle of advanced driver-assist technologies consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. The 3LT and above are enhanced with lane change alert, side blind-zone alert, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert. Beyond that, all trims come with Teen Driver, which helps young people develop good on-the-road habits.

A surround-view camera is available for the 3LT on up, while adaptive cruise control can be added across the board. What’s more, the Premier and RS qualify for GM’s Safety Alert Seat, which vibrates in the direction of a potential road hazard as an added measure of ensuring that the driver is aware of the obstacle.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The ’25 Blazer has a lot to boast about when it comes to infotainment. The 2LT and 3LT are both set up with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system, which provides a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, voice recognition, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a six-speaker sound system. The Premier and RS move up to the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium version, which includes onboard navigation and a top-quality eight-speaker Bose audio system.
