The five-passenger, all-electric 2025 Chevy Equinox EV is made in two trim packages, the LT and the RS. The base powertrain unites one motor with a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) and puts out 220 horsepower. A dual-motor powerplant and all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) combination is also available, which ups the horsepower to 300.
Real EV beauty comes to light with an EPA-estimated 319 miles of range with the FWD powertrain and 307 with the AWD. The Equinox EV also maximizes efficiency with Regen on Demand, a system that captures the energy created by braking and converts it to battery electricity. The one-pedal driving feature allows you to slow and stop just by lifting your foot off the accelerator.
A solid list of features gets the LT off and running with remote start, proximity keyless entry, fabric upholstery, automatic climate control, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split flat-folding second-row including a retractable center console, an 11-inch digital display, two data and two charging USB-C ports, a complete LED exterior lighting package (headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights), power-adjustable exterior mirrors, and rear privacy glass. The upgrades to the RS are attractive, as it gets heated front seats, EvoTex upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charging pad, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and ambient cabin lighting with customizable colors. This trim’s exterior upgrades consist of an AutoSense power liftgate, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, a slimline LED light bar, and roof-mounted side rails.
The LT can be enhanced significantly with the optional Comfort Package (heated front seats, eight-way power driver’s-seat with lumbar support, and a heated steering wheel) as well as the Convenience Package (four-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, auto-dimming rearview mirror, AutoSense power programmable liftgate, and numerous trailering upgrades). Both trims may be equipped with the Convenience Package II (heated and ventilated front seats with lumbar support, heated rear outboard seats, driver’s-side memory, a head-up display, LED exterior lighting, 21-inch aluminum wheels, Evotex upholstery, two zones of auto climate control, a rear camera mirror and washer, and walk-up lighting. The 2025 Equinox EV Lifestyle Package offers black rooftop cross rails, a cargo carrier mount, and a trailer-hitch closeout, and the All-Weather Mat Package adds surface protection with all-weather floor mats and a cargo area liner. A dual-pane power sunroof and universal home remote are offered for both trims.
The 2025 Equinox EV exemplifies Chevrolet’s dedication to safety with its standard driver-assist features. The list includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian/bicyclist detection and intersection assist, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, forward collision alert, and a following distance indicator. You’ll also get adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic and reverse automatic braking, and blind-zone steering assist.
The Active Safety Package 2, included with the RS and optional for the LT, adds a high-definition surround-view camera, rear pedestrian alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition. Both trims qualify for the Active Safety Package 3, showcasing Chevy’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology and automatic parking assistance.

It’s based on Google built-in technology, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store, and also gets SiriusXM satellite radio, onboard navigation, hands-free Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, natural voice recognition, and a six-speaker audio system. Access to a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot (subscription based) is standard as well.
