The ‘25 Equinox has three grades: LT, RS, and ACTIV. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard across the entire lineup; however, all-wheel drive (AWD) is available on every trim. This SUV is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and the driveline determines its transmission. FWD has a continuously variable transmission, while the AWD powertrain is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. No matter the drivetype, the ‘25 Equinox generates up to 175 hp and 203 lb.-ft. of torque, and AWD trims can tow up to 1,500 pounds. It’s worth noting, the ACTIV sets itself apart with all-terrain tires and a sport-tuned suspension.
The LT interior has a 11.3-inch color LCD display and 11-inch driver information center, cloth upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, hidden storage underneath the rear cargo floor, four USB ports (two front/two rear), and a 12-volt power outlet. Outside the SUV are 17-inch Grazen Metallic machined-face wheels, LED headlights and taillights, heated power side mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, and remote start. A two-tone roof is also available, and the LT is the only trim to offer Chevy’s optional Midnight Edition, a dark appearance package that extends throughout the grille, badging, 19-inch wheels, roof rails, and mirror caps.
The RS cabin gains synthetic leather seats with Santorini Blue and Torch Red stitching, an 8-way power driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated flat-bottom steering wheel, wireless phone charging, a universal home remote system, and “RS” debossed on the front-seat head restraints. The exterior has rain-sensing windshield wipers, a heated wiper park, an AutoSense power liftgate with memory height settings, an available two-tone black roof, and the following blacked-out elements: an RS-exclusive grille and front fascia, 19-inch Carbon Flash Metallic aluminum wheels, roof-mounted side rails, moldings, side mirrors, emblems, and badges.
The newly introduced ACTIV has a unique grille and front fascia, 17-inch Dark Android aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires, black badging and emblems, and an available two-tone white roof. Its interior comes with sueded microfiber and synthetic leather seating surfaces with “ACTIV” stitched into the front-seat head restraints.
Regardless of trim, all ‘25 Equinox SUVs have a wealth of advanced features and driver-assistive technologies. Chevy Safety Assist lays the foundation with six core features: following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist with lane departure warning, and Intellibeam automatic headlights. Additionally, every Equinox has adaptive cruise control, blind-zone steering assist, intersection automatic emergency braking, reverse automatic braking, rear cross-traffic braking, rear park assist, side bicyclist alert, and a safety alert seat, which utilizes directional vibrations within the driver’s seat to help alert the driver to potential collisions coming from the left or right.
Every ‘25 Equinox has an 11.3-inch color LCD display and a 6-speaker audio system. The connectivity and multimedia features remain consistent throughout the entire lineup with all grades getting wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Google Built-in, and a trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio. Plus, each cabin has the capability for a Wi-Fi hotspot.
