The 2025 Suburban will continue to offer six trims: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Three engine options will be available for the 2025 Suburban. The standard engine for the LS, LT, RST, Z71, and Premier will be a 5.3-liter V8 (355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque). A more powerful 6.2-liter V8, generating 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque, will be standard on the High Country and available on RST, Z71, and Premier trims. A refined, second-generation 3.0-liter inline-six turbo-diesel Duramax engine will come out with a later release, offering 305 horsepower and 495 lb.-ft. of torque, a respective 10% and 7.6% increase over the output of the current diesel engine. Once this new diesel option is introduced at some point in 2025, it will be available on all trims, including the Z71 (which had not been eligible previously for the diesel).
All engines will pair with a ten-speed automatic transmission. When it is properly equipped, the 2025 Suburban will offer a maximum towing capacity of 8,200 pounds. Its EPA-determined fuel economy ratings have not yet been released.
The 2025 Suburban will come with a range of standard features, varying by trim level. All grades will include LED headlights with automatic on/off and an 11-inch-diagonal driver information center. The base LS trim offers equipment such as automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, and power front seats. The LT will get leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power liftgate, a driver’s position memory system, and wireless device charging. The RST will be differentiated visually with black exterior treatments, unique interior accents, and 22-inch aluminum wheels.
The Z71 trim will continue to cater to off-road enthusiasts with features like skid plates, all-terrain tires, black tubular assist steps, hill descent control, and a high-approach front fascia.
Look for the Premier to expand on the comforts of the LT with heated and ventilated front seats, a hands-free power liftgate, and Magnetic Ride Control. The High Country will reign above the others with special interior trim featuring authentic wood accents – a first for the Suburban – along with wingtip perforated leather seating surfaces and exclusive styling elements. As another change for 2025, 24-inch wheels will be available on the RST and High Country for the first time.
All 2025 Suburbans will come standard with Chevy Safety Assist, a suite of advanced safety features that includes enhanced automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, and automatic high beams. Some of the additional standard safety features will be enhanced automatic parking assist, a surround-view monitor, and Teen Driver technology.
Chevrolet will also introduce new trailering technologies for the 2025 Suburban. These include Trailer Tire Health, which helps prevent trailer tire blowouts, Mobile Trailering App Load Rating Info (to access the vehicle’s load rating), and Forward Path Indication to assist with trailer navigation. Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free driver assistance technology, will be available on the 2025 Suburban after the vehicle’s initial launch. This system allows hands-free driving on more than 400,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada.
The centerpiece of the 2025 Suburban’s interior will be the all-new standard 17.7-inch-diagonal freeform infotainment screen. This system will feature wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as available built-in Google apps and services. Chevrolet’s latest software will power the infotainment system, offering improved responsiveness, new features, and 24/7 access to OnStar.
