Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Efficiency

Chevrolet’s multifaceted Trailblazer comes in four trims: LS, LT, RS, and Activ. With the standard front-wheel drivetrain (FWD), the LS and LT receive a 137-hp turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. Opt for all-wheel drive (AWD) with either of those trims and you’ll get a slightly more powerful 155-hp turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder. That upgrade is also standard in the RS and Activ. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is included in models with FWD, but Trailblazers with AWD get a traditional nine-speed automatic.

According to the official fuel economy estimates conducted by the EPA, Trailblazers with FWD and the 1.2-liter engine return 30 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. With the 1.3-liter powerplant, FWD Trailblazers achieve 29 city/33 highway. The AWD variants pull off slightly lower fuel economy at 26 city/29 highway.

Standard Amenities

The entry-level LS sets the stage with a medley of essential features, including cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, an 8-inch driver information display, two USB data ports (one Type-A and one Type-C), cruise control, power-adjustable side mirrors, automatic-on/off LED headlights, and 17-inch painted aluminum wheels. The LT adds proximity keyless entry, remote start, heated side mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, signature LED daytime running lights, deep-tinted rear glass, and 17-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels.

The RS displays a sportier appearance, along with Evotex simulated-leather upholstery, heated front seats with power adjustability for the driver, a heated and leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, a rear-seat center armrest, LED taillights, and 19-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels. At the top of the range, the off-road-lite Activ comes with a functional underbody skid plate, off-road suspension tuning, and 17-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires.

Advanced Safety Features

As we mentioned, the Chevy Safety Assist suite comes standard in the ’25 Trailblazer, providing each trim with forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Every trim is eligible for the available rear parking sensors, lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert. Other safety-related standard features in the 2025 Trailblazer consist of an HD rearview camera, Buckle to Drive (prevents the car from being shifted out of park until the driver’s seatbelt is fastened), and Teen Driver, which helps new drivers form good habits behind the wheel.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Although it’s the entry-level trim, the LS is equipped with an advanced infotainment system featuring an 11-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, voice recognition, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a four-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. The higher trims get all of those features plus an additional pair of speakers. The RS and Activ qualify for an optional upgrade to a Bose sound system with seven speakers.

Packages and Options

One of the most appealing attributes of the ’25 Trailblazer is its capacity for customization. The LS can be spruced up with the LS Convenience Package, which includes deep-tinted rear glass and remote start, as well as the LS Confidence Package, featuring rear parking sensors, lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert. The LT is eligible for the Cold Weather Package (a leather-wrapped shift knob, heated front seats, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel). The Adaptive Cruise and Sound Package for the RS and Activ has exactly what you might expect: adaptive cruise control and a high-quality seven-speaker Bose audio setup.

The Convenience Package for the LT and above trims will add automatic climate control, two USB charging ports (one Type-A and one Type-C), a 120-volt power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless phone charging, and illuminated vanity mirrors. In the LT, this package also provides a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a rear-seat center armrest, and a power liftgate; in the Activ and RS, a hands-free liftgate with LED logo projection will be added. Those same three trims are eligible for the Driver Confidence Package, too, which has the contents of the LS Confidence Package (rear parking sensors, lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert). The a la carte options for the ’25 Trailblazer include a panoramic sunroof, a keyless entry keypad, roof-rack cross rails, all-weather floor mats, premium carpeted floor mats, a cargo cover, a collapsible cargo organizer, and sport pedals
