2025 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

The Chevrolet Corvette has been an American automotive trendsetter for over 70 years, and the eighth generation (C8) continues this tradition. The C8 Corvette was launched in 2020 and represented a significant departure from its predecessors thanks to its mid-engine layout, which places the powerplant behind the cabin. This configuration, typically found in exotic supercars, helps to optimize weight distribution and improve handling, allowing the Corvette to compete with pricier rivals.

In other changes for 2025, the Corvette Stingray’s paint palette adds new exterior colors, Competition Yellow Tintcoat Metallic and Hysteria Purple Metallic. Inside, Habanero interior trim debuts to add a splash of deep orange to the cabin, giving it a sporty and luxurious feel. Beyond that, all Stingrays now come standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel airbag cover.

Trims and Powertrain

The 2025 Corvette Stingray is made in three trim levels – 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT – with a choice between a coupe with a removable roof panel and a convertible with a retractable hardtop. Powering all Stingray variants is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 490 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque in its standard configuration. With the optional Z51 Performance Package, output increases to 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The Z51 package now also includes a redesigned rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics and downforce. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission handles shifting duties, sending power to the rear wheels. This advanced transmission executes lightning-fast gear changes and contributes to the Stingray’s EPA-estimated fuel economy of 16 mpg around town and 25 mpg on the highway.

Standard Equipment

The 1LT comes packed with performance-oriented features, including Brembo brakes, an electronic limited-slip differential, variable assist speed-sensitive steering, a Corvette-tuned suspension, a six-mode drive selector, a 12-inch configurable gauge cluster, and staggered-size aluminum wheels (19-inch alloys in the front and 20-inch in the back). Standard amenities include leather seating surfaces with perforated inserts, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, and eight-way power GT1 sport seats. The 1LT also has proximity keyless entry, remote start, push-button ignition, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a digital rearview mirror, an engine hatch with a power pull-down function, heated power side mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and USB ports.

The 2LT trim adds heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, upgraded front seats (additional power adjustments and memory settings for both positions), a head-up display, a performance data and video recorder, enhanced power side mirrors (power-folding feature and driver-side auto-dimming), and wireless device charging. The 3LT has even more amenities, including GT2 sport seats with Nappa leather upholstery, leather-wrapped interior surfaces (upper instrument panel, console, and door panels), and microfiber-covered areas, including the headliner and sun visors.

The Z51 Performance Package is among the numerous options offered for the 2025 Corvette Stingray. These upgrades include enhanced brakes, suspension, cooling system, exhaust, tires, and differential components.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

All 2025 Corvette Stingray trims are equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver aids. These sophisticated technologies include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a front-view parking camera are standard on the 2LT and 3LT. All trims have airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, and a rearview camera (with curb monitoring for the 2LT and 3LT).

Infotainment and Connectivity

The heart of the Corvette Stingray’s infotainment system is an 8-inch touchscreen running the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus software. Standard features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The 1LT has a ten-speaker Bose audio system, while the 2LT and 3LT upgrade to 14 speakers and add navigation. All trims include Wi-Fi hotspot capability and access to OnStar services.
