I have been going to Balise for oil changes since 2019. I have bought 3 brand new cars from there, by far this is the worst experience i have had there. I am really considering not to ever return for any services. I live next to Central Chevrolet in west springfield and i think this will be my regular dealership going forward.

I was disappointed at the amount of time it took to get the job done after making an appointment for a certain time. The job to do was an oil change and tire rotation that i thought would take an hour but it took two hours. I checked my car at one point and no one was working on it. outside of that all was well.

It was a bad experience I was held up for (1/2) the day & finally asked them to move it along & with that nudge it seemed to improve but what I saw was staff chatting & standing around with no concern for customer service...I actually said to my wife I should go back to the place we used to use much more efficient & quicker...sorry to give a disappointing review but the experience was bad & only our (2)nd visit since purchasing our GMC truck...we pay ($985) a month we r good customers that should be treated more VIP not treated like whatever...

I called to make an appointment for my vehicle, which had a check engine light on. They told me they couldn’t fit me in for three weeks, which wasn’t the biggest deal. I showed up for my scheduled appointment and they said they’d get me in and out. I sat there with my newborn for four hours before asking the status. My vehicle hadn’t even been looked at. I told them I couldn’t leave my vehicle and they didn’t have one to loan. I left and had to book another appt. I brought it back for its scheduled appt and again..told I would be in and out. Couple hours go by and it wasn’t touched again. I told them I can’t leave it and again no loaner. I had my three kids with me this time and now told I’d have to bring it back a third time. The lady at front assured me I’d be in and out and promised the manager was aware of situation. When I told them I was leaving and my displeasure, the manager heard and didn’t look up from her desk once or say a word to me. I have had nothing with issues with both my vehicle and the service here since I bought it less than 2 years ago.

I feel that I was grossly misled when I was shown and signed off on an initial estimated total cost of $109 prior to the oil change. The service rep explained after work was completed that the total cost became $139 due to my Sierra requiring 8 quarts of oil, which should have been know prior to the initial estimate I was shown. Also not clear why 2 extra quarts of oil @ $4.55 each raised the price by $20? Had I been shown an initial estimate of the ultimate cost of $155, I would likely have gone elsewhere, as I regularly get e-mail oil change offers from other GMC dealers in the range of $79 - $99.

I had 10:15 appointment. I arrived on time and checked in. At 11:45 I checked on my car and found out that it was the next to go in. When I questioned the reason that a 10:15 appointment was not being worked on, I was told that the 10:15 appointment was "drop off time". I expressed my anger in that an appointment meant that the vehicle should have gone in close to that time and not put in line with the "first come/first serve" policy. I asked when it would be ready, I was told about one hour. At 1:15 it was finally done. (another 1 1/4 wait. THREE AND ONE HALF HOURS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I won't be back.

The order started with Nick. He was accommodating at the start of order. He faded fast progressing through order, but we made it. For whatever reason the sale was handed to Monica. I wish we had her from the start. She is VERY patient and thorough. She answered ever question, no matter how foolish. She is/was 100%, right up to the moment we drove off the lot with the new pick-up. We do not buy new vehicles often, but if next vehicle is GM, Monica will get the sale. Thank you Monica. I feel things could have been better communicated and time respected more. My car was dropped off for 9am. I did not have “diagnostics” until almost 4pm that day. If someone is to arrive prompt and be without a car, it would have been respect of time to not leave there all day to “diagnose”. I can understand not same day work as parts order but someone should not have to wait 7 hours for diagnostics. I checked back in multiple times that day with no answer until 7 hours later.

Our car was towed in on Thursday. We had an appointment for Tuesday at 10AM. I received a call from Christian on Monday afternoon saying the car needed a battery for a cost of $363. I called Christian on Tuesday afternoon and he texted me back that my car would be ready later on Tuesday or Wednesday. On Wednesday I received an e mail saying we missed our 10 AM appointment. I then called Christian and did not receive a response, I later found out he was off on Wednesday. Beside a battery I also asked for an oil change. I received a text on Thursday saying my car was ready. When I came to pick up my car I was told you stripped the bolt in the oil pan and had to replace the oil pan. I was told the battery was $363 plus I figured oil change another $100. My total bill was $609 and you did not charge for the oil pan replacement. I was not happy with the price or the delay in getting my car back.

The Techs are so young they're skills are not enough. Couldn't find the problem & us customers had to show him where the problem was & then they still charge so much for a diagnostic when they dnt even know what they're doing. I left elsewhere for Service.

My service rep Dominic was great. However, my vehicle still had issues (leaking fluid after the initial repair was completed) which it was not the initial problem. The repaired the leak and had to return the vehicle again because additional fluid was leaking. In addition, they were only able to contact me via email. Their texting option for some reason was not working.

We paid for an oil change, tire, rotation, and multipoint inspection. We then at time to cash out, requested the printout of the multi point inspection and the lady said she had to look for it. The technician came and right, where we could see clicked into a device and went and checked off that everything was good to go. The service advisor informed us that she did do an inspection. It’s just that she was not logged in to update the report at the time. However, there is no way that she did a break inspection and said my brakes were as good as they were when they have 73,000 miles on them along with supposedly an air filter being perfect after it hasn’t been changed in over a year when I got home, I took pictures of everything that was wrong. My air filter clearly needs to be changed.

You said you rotated the tires! YOU DID NOT! We clearly know the wear on the inner front tires and the back tires have none! You claimed there is an oil leak! You didn’t explain because that van we didn’t even have for a year and it should still have a warranty! You claimed to have changed the oil and we highly suspect that you did not! I made an appointment for my car 2.5 weeks before the appointment because they didn't have any openings. When the day came I was able to drop off the car without any issues. The lady that took my info was pleasant. I dropped my car off on a Thursday morning at 0800. However, despite the lady telling me that a technician would check my car out that day, no one did. I called that afternoon and the lady assured me that my car would be checked out first thing in the morning. Friday morning came and went and I called Friday afternoon and someone answered the phone and said the lady would call my back. No one returned my call. On Saturday I went and got my car and the worker told me that they don't do diagnostics on Saturdays, only oil changes. My car was at the dealership for 2.5 days without being checked out. I was told that my car was first in line for Monday morning but I couldn't leave it there that long as I have work, kids etc. Leaving my car at a dealership for 5 days just to get diagnosed is ridiculous. I took my car and went to another dealership and had it diagnosed and fixed in 1.5 days. It's horrible customer service to not communicate and to expect people to leave their car that long without looking at it.

I came in thinking I needed to have the lock for my wheels replaced, however, the honest and caring staff informed me I do not need locks for this vehicle (the first vehicle I have had in the past 20 years which did not require wheel locks). I was so appreciative! They were so kind and helpful. Didn’t make me feel a fool (like I felt like I was!). I would highly recommend this team! If we weren’t moving out of town, I would definitely be back!

I want to say Dominic truly went out of his way to ensure my experience was a good one. He offered a ride share to and from my work, which helped to not interfere with what I needed to do. He made that experience very easy. He kept me up to date on my service and when I arrived it was raining so he made sure to move my vehicle closer to the door, so I did not have to walk in the rain.
