2025 Chevrolet
Equinox EV
As Chevrolet’s entry-level electric vehicle, the Equinox EV filled a void when the Bolt was retired. As the zero-emissions counterpart to the gas-powered Equinox, it shares that model’s same good looks and generous standard equipment. The difference to eco-minded drivers is the good feeling of traveling up to 319 miles (with the base powertrain) completely free of emissions or experiencing the exhilaration of 300 horsepower (with the optional dual-motor powertrain). Besides pleasing environmentally conscious buyers, the Equinox EV comes with a comprehensive suite of safety technologies and an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty for added value and peace of mind.
For 2025, Chevy has boosted the Equinox EV’s base powertrain horsepower from 213 to 220, while also increasing the all-wheel drive version’s output from 288 to 300 hp. Chevy initially simplified the trim lineup to just the LT and RS, but the mid-grade LT 2 was added more recently to give buyers a choice between the base version and the loaded version. As always, Chevrolet offers a good number of optional packages for buyers who want to add more amenities.

The five-passenger, all-electric 2025 Chevy Equinox EV is made in three trim packages, LT 1, LT 2, and RS. The base powertrain unites one motor with a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) and puts out 220 horsepower. A 300-horsepower dual-motor powerplant and all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) combination is also available for all three trims.
Real EV beauty comes to light with an EPA-estimated 319 miles of range with the FWD powertrain and 307 with the AWD. The Equinox EV also maximizes efficiency with Regen on Demand, a system that captures the energy created by braking and converts it to battery electricity. The one-pedal driving feature allows you to slow and stop just by lifting your foot off the accelerator.
Standard and Optional Features
A solid list of features gets the LT 1 off and running with remote start, proximity keyless entry, fabric upholstery, automatic climate control, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split flat-folding second-row including a retractable center console, an 11-inch digital display, two data and two charging USB-C ports, a complete LED exterior lighting package (headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights), power-adjustable exterior mirrors, and rear privacy glass. The LT 2 is eligible for a two-tone exterior, plus it adds heated front seats, EvoTex upholstery, wireless device charging, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with four-way power lumbar support, a heated and wrapped steering wheel, heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors, an AutoSense power liftgate, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, illuminated visor mirrors, roof rails with a bright finish, interior ambient lighting with multiple colors, and a center lit bar. It’s also set up for easier towing with trailer pre-wiring and the Hitch View and Hitch Guidance features. The RS upgrades to a wrapped and heated flat-bottomed steering wheel.
The LT 1 can be enhanced significantly with the optional Comfort Package (heated front seats, eight-way power driver’s-seat with lumbar support, and a heated steering wheel). The LT 2 qualifies for the Convenience Package II (heated and ventilated front seats with lumbar support, heated rear outboard seats, driver’s-side memory, a head-up display, LED exterior lighting, 21-inch aluminum wheels, Evotex upholstery, two zones of auto climate control, a rear camera mirror and washer, walk-up lighting, and more). The Lifestyle Package offers black rooftop cross rails, a cargo carrier mount, and a trailer-hitch closeout, and the All-Weather Mat Package adds surface protection with all-weather floor mats and a cargo area liner. A dual-pane power sunroof and universal home remote are offered for the two highest trims.
Advanced Safety Technology
The 2025 Equinox EV exemplifies Chevrolet’s dedication to safety with its standard driver-assist features. The list includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian/bicyclist detection and intersection assist, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, forward collision alert, and a following distance indicator. You’ll also get adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic and reverse automatic braking, and blind-zone steering assist.
The LT 2 and RS add HD Surround Vision, rear pedestrian alert, and traffic sign recognition, all of which are optional for the LT 1 through the Active Safety Package 2. The two higher trims qualify for the Active Safety Package 3, with automatic parking assistance plus three years of Chevy’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology and Digital Services by OnStar.
Entertainment and Connectivity
The class-largest 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system makes a statement in the 2025 Equinox EV. It’s based on Google built-in technology, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store, and also gets SiriusXM satellite radio, onboard navigation, hands-free Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, natural voice recognition, and a six-speaker audio system. Access to a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot (subscription based) is standard as well.
