2026 Chevrolet
Corvette
Throughout the Corvette’s eighth generation, the sports coupe has undergone significant changes and reached major milestones with the introduction of its first mid-engined layout and the debut of the first-ever hybrid Corvette with all-wheel drive. Now, the Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1 are slated for an interior refresh to match the innovation under the hood.
The Corvette’s already driver-centered cockpit will become even more so, with every display, gauge, and control directed toward the operator’s seat. Control reconfigurations will free up space in the center console, reshaping the current center divider into a passenger grab handle and adding wireless smartphone charging capabilities. New mechanical enhancements, including larger available brakes and calipers, complement the updated Performance Traction Management system for a more responsive driving experience. A third screen will give the driver the best-ever access to performance tools and drive settings, with a customizable interface. A wide array of new colors and design schemes – including the Corvette’s first-ever asymmetrical interior color layout – will let drivers personalize their cockpit.
Another hybrid variant will join the lineup in the 2026 model year: the all-new ZR1X will make its debut with two trims, the 1LZ and 3LZ. With the help of hybrid electric power and all-wheel drive, the most advanced Corvette to date will boast 1,064 horsepower and an estimated 0-to-60 time of under two seconds.
Performance Engineering
Drivers will find the most obvious engine improvements in the all-new ZR1X, which will blend the best of the original hybrid Corvette E-Ray with the ZR1’s attributes. A 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine will harness 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb.-ft. of torque, while the electric front-drive unit adds an extra 186 ponies and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. The hybrid system will make the ZR1X the most powerful production Corvette ever, with a total output of 1,250 horsepower, along with electric all-wheel drive (eAWD). An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission will complete the powertrain, providing near-instantaneous gear changes. The ZR1X will feature Stealth Mode, which Chevrolet debuted on the E-Ray; it allows the electric unit to drive solely on electric power for short distances at low speeds. Regenerative brake torque vectoring will help the ZR1X recover energy during cornering by controlling rear inside brake pressure, and front axle pre-control will do the same for the front brakes to maintain consistent grip. The ZR1X’s standard carbon-ceramic brakes will match its acceleration – 0 to 60 in under two seconds – with 16.5-inch front and rear brake rotors paired with Alcon ten-piston front and six-piston rear calipers – the largest ever to grace a production Corvette. The ten-piston front and six-piston rear calipers will also be available on the ZR1 via the ZTK package. For the other variants, the ZR1’s distinctive blue brake calipers will be available on the E-Ray and Z06.
Driver-Centered Technology
The 2026 Corvette’s interior updates will put the driver at the center of the action. This revised cockpit will add a third screen to the existing dual-screen display—a configurable space for the driver to access their preferred performance instrumentation. It will measure 6.6 inches and will be positioned diagonally to the left of the steering wheel, complementing the expanded 14-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.7-inch center console touchscreen. This new tri-screen display will replace the outgoing model’s 8-inch infotainment screen and 12-inch gauge display. The instrument cluster will receive an upgrade, with new, modern gauges, as well as updated displays for Tour, Sport, and Track settings. The larger screens will also channel an updated performance data recorder, which will provide real-time driving analysis and automated “speed tips” to help drivers make instant adjustments on the track.
Performance Traction Management (PTM) – the Corvette’s integrated system for controlling traction, stability, and power – will now be accessible through the all-new PTM Pro Mode. This new drive mode will enable drivers to seamlessly switch between PTM-assisted stability and traction control and completely unassisted driving, for maximum responsiveness and control. The Corvette’s performance app, which was introduced on the E-Ray in 2024, tracks driver and performance data and will be available on all Corvette variants starting with the 2026 model. Performance indicators, such as acceleration timers and G-force measurement, will be consolidated into the app, along with standard gauges like tire pressure, temperature, and system vitals.
A Reimagined Cockpit
The 2026 Corvette’s reconfigured center console will position the drive mode selector next to the gear selector, making room for a new wireless smartphone charging pad (or two in the ZR1X’s 3LZ trim). The climate controls are also being relocated from their current angled position on the console divider to a new panel underneath the center console display for improved convenience. This move will allow the climate controls’ former position to serve as a mount for a passenger grab handle, which will also house a USB-C charging port for the passenger. In the hybrid E-Ray and ZR1X, the Charge+ button, which alters the battery’s energy storage function for track driving, will move to the steering wheel for ease of use. The open center console will free up space for new cupholders with ambient lighting and available aluminum trim. The ZR1’s cockpit will receive standard carbon fiber trim, to be available on the Z06 and E-Ray variants. Cabin comfort will also improve with the Corvette’s available new electrochromic roof, which will allow the driver to control the tint level. The ZR1X will sport a removable carbon-fiber roof panel.
Tech Beyond the Track
The 2026 Corvette’s technology will go beyond performance and drive analysis. The new 12.7-inch center console touchscreen will continue to offer Google built-in, which will now integrate apps like Chrome, HBO Max, and Prime Video (video streaming and web browsing capabilities will only be enabled while the vehicle is parked). Voice assistance will allow drivers to activate comfort features such as climate controls and to track tools like the performance data recorder.
New Looks Inside and Out
With style to match its technology and performance, the 2026 Corvette will come with several new color options. The 2026 model will debut an available asymmetrical design for the first time, with an Adrenaline Red driver’s side complemented by a Jet Black passenger side. Buyers seeking a more traditional style will have a choice of some fresh interior color schemes, including Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents, Santorini Blue, Rich chocolate brown paired with Jet Black and Natural Tan accents, and a Jet Black suede interior with Adrenaline Red, Santorini Blue, or Competition Yellow accent stitching and seatbelts.
As for the exterior, Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic paint will replace the outgoing Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat, and a new asymmetrical exterior stripe will be available in the Edge Red/Carbon Flash color scheme. The E-Ray will get standard body-color rocker panels, which will also be available on the Z06. The ZR1X will incorporate aerodynamic body styling with its new look. The carbon-fiber front splitter, rocker panels, split rear-window surround, and roof panels will help reduce drag and increase downforce while side air inlets and a flow-through hood maximize air intake, further cooling the engine. The available ZR1X Carbon-Fiber Aero Package will add a high-wing spoiler, underbody strakes, a hood lip gurney, and dive planes to generate over 1,200 pounds of downforce – more than any production Corvette ever made.
