2026 GMC Hummer EV Pickup

Hummer EV Pickup

When it comes to capability, the Hummer EV Pickup is hard to beat – and even more so with its changes for the 2026 model year. First off, the introduction of bi-directional charging means that this model can transfer its battery energy to power other electric vehicles or – with the right accessories – supply electricity to a home during an outage. Plus, improvements to GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving-assistance technology allow the Hummer EV Pickup to change lanes in coordination with Google Maps navigation, a standard component of the infotainment system. In other innovation, the new King Crab mode enhances the already versatile Crab Walk rear steering by turning the rear wheels twice as fast as the front wheels for better off-road repositioning.

The Hummer EV Pickup also gets a few new design elements. The Carbon Fiber Edition Package upgrades the 3X trim with package-specific interior and exterior colors, carbon-fiber elements (including a skid plate and wheels), and a black approach shield. For the entire lineup, Coastal Dune and Auburn Matte replace Tide Metallic in the exterior color palette, while Granite Drift and Stealth Eclipse oust the outgoing Lunar Horizon and Lunar Shadow interior color schemes. The nameplate’s dominant speed and power remain, supplying a best-in-class 13,000 lb.-ft. of torque via the 24-Module Battery Pack, and a 2.8-second 0-to-60 acceleration time in Watts to Freedom mode (3x trim only).

Trims, Powertrains, and Performance

The 2026 Hummer EV Pickup can be selected in either of two trims: 2X and 3X. The 2X is named for its dual-motor system (one front and one rear), which generates 570 horsepower and 7,400 lb.-ft. of torque. The 3X’s name refers to its three electric motors (one front and two rear), which combine to make 830 horsepower and 11,500 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hummer EV Pickup can tow up to 12,000 pounds and comes outfitted with an integrated trailer brake controller, a trailer hitch with a 7-wire harness, the ProGrade Trailering system (includes Hitch Guidance with Hitch View), plus trailer and bed cameras. A drive mode selector provides Off-Road, Terrain, Tow/Haul, and Normal drive settings, along with the customizable My Mode.

The 2X has an automaker-estimated drive range of 316 miles, while the 3X comes close with a 312-mile range. Both trims have electronic four-wheel drive (4WD), which the 3X complements with torque vectoring. Both trims are equipped with a 20-module battery pack and DC fast charging capabilities, as well as the ability to conduct 19.2-kW vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-load, or vehicle-to-home energy transfers. The standard Regen on Demand feature incrementally recharges the battery with energy captured through the braking process.

Specialized Mechanical Components

An electronic transmission range selector is standard on both trims, along with paddle shifters and an adaptive air-ride suspension with real-time automatic damping. The suspension can also raise the Hummer EV Pickup roughly six inches with Extract Mode, to ford water or clear large obstacles during off-road driving. Electronic four-wheel steer with CrabWalk function, which allows diagonal steering at low speeds, is included on all Hummer EV Pickups. The King Crab mode enables the rear wheels to turn twice as fast as the front wheels, to reposition the Hummer EV Pickup off-road.

The available Extreme Off-Road Package adds front and rear electronically locking differentials to the 2X and increases its output to 635 horsepower and 9,900 lb.-ft. of torque. The power increase allows the 2X to go from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds but reduces the estimated range to 300 miles. The 24-Module Battery Pack increases the 3X’s battery capacity, extending the range to 363 miles and increasing output to 1,160 horsepower and 13,000 lb.-ft. of torque.

Standard and Available Features

Both Hummer EV Pickups receive remote start, premium leatherette upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats with 12-way power adjustability and lumbar support, driver’s seat memory, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, a heated steering wheel with power memory tilt, tri-zone automatic climate control with rear controls and vents, wireless smartphone charging, keyless entry, a digital rearview mirror, a universal home remote, heated rear seats, a power rear window, four USB ports (two front, two rear), a 120-volt power outlet, roof accessory points to mount crossbars, rear seatback storage, and rubber floor liners. Outside, it gets the Infinity Sky Roof with removable panels, full steel-plate underbody armor (with available skid plates and rocker protectors), heated power-folding exterior mirrors with driver’s-side auto-dimming and memory, Intellibeam auto-on/off LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, distinctive LED front lighting with Hummer EV light bar, LED taillights with stop and reverse lights, amber LED roof marker lights, LED bed lighting, mirror-mounted puddle lights, recovery hooks, solar-glazed windows, deep-tinted privacy glass, assist steps, and 22-inch aluminum wheels (with a gloss-black finish on the 2X and a premium-painted finish on the 3X).

As mentioned, the 3X gets the Watts to Freedom feature, which will lower the vehicle by two inches before accelerating from 0 to 60 in approximately 2.8 seconds (compared to 4.4 seconds for the 2X). This higher trim is also eligible for the new Carbon Fiber Edition Package, which adds carbon-fiber accents, a carbon-fiber skid plate, Magnus Gray Matte exterior paint job with a Velocity Ember interior, a black approach shield, and 22-inch black carbon-fiber wheels.

The Hummer EV Pickup also presents versatile storage solutions. Up front is the eTrunk with a power hood, a 12-volt DC outlet, 11.3 cubic feet of cargo space – enough to stow the Infinity Sky Roof panels—and four cargo tie-downs, each rated to 110 pounds. In the rear, the 5-foot bed comes with a spray-on bedliner, a 120-volt outlet, a tire inflator kit, a power-locking six-function MultiPro Tailgate with EZ-Lift assist, and eight cargo tie-downs, each rated for 500 pounds.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Every 2026 Hummer EV Pickup gets Super Cruise hands-free driving as well as Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist. Both trims also come with adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, reverse automatic braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, intersection automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic braking, pedestrian safety signal, HD Surround Vision, blind-zone steering assist with trailering, side bicyclist alert, driver attention assist, traffic sign recognition, forward collision alert, rear pedestrian alert, a front passenger detecting sensor, and rear seat reminder, plus GM’s Safety Alert Seat and Buckle-to-Drive technology. GM’s Teen Driver comes standard; it will mute the audio until the driver and front passenger have fastened their seatbelts and generate an in-vehicle report card for parents to use as a tool to form good habits in new drivers.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Hummer EV Pickup’s Google built-in infotainment system provides ready access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play through a 13.4-inch touchscreen. Also included Wi-Fi hotspot access, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an upscale Bose surround audio system with Center Point and 14 speakers. All Hummer EV Pickups come with access to OnStar, GM’s safety and connectivity suite, with a three-year subscription to OnStar One.
